From June 27, 2008, to July 27, 2008, I was on holiday across the United States of America. For the most part, I was on a Contiki tour that began in Los Angeles, went through many of the Southern states, up the East coast, and finished in New York. There the tour ended, and I spent 5 days doing my own thing in the Big Apple and on Long Island. It was a life-changing, fantastic, thoroughly enjoyable experience that I cannot recommend enough. I met some amazing people, some strange people, and people that I plan to stay in contact with for a long, long time. I saw some amazing places, experienced some one-off adventures, and have a whole new set of stories to tell that will amaze, entertain, and shock people.
The following posts are my recounts of the trip. They begin with the day I flew out from Sydney, and end … well, we haven’t go there yet. Some of them are my favourite posts, both in terms of content and memories. They aren’t short, and managed to get longer as the days got, both, more eventful and event-full. It’s not all flowery description, as there are parts where I reflect on the holiday and the experiences that managed to change me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing about them.
