‘Me too’-ism

Me too on Work Choices

Me too on Kyoto

Me too on ‘Sorry’

How quickly the negativity of bipartisan support during campaign trails is dropped for the sake of early positioning. It’s not worth the time it would take Labor to point all this out and make a spectacle of, and it would make them look a little petty. But it would be interesting if someone outside of the government (*cough* Paul Keating *cough) were to step up and say that the Liberals are now the ‘me too’ party.

What’s even more amusing is that this is what the party is saying after Howard’s gone. I’m assuming this is what they were thinking while Howard was in power. And if these people truly think that Kyoto and Work Choices are the reasons why they lost the election, and they backed Kyoto and not Work Choices the whole time, then how can anyone not blame Howard. I know he took the blame himself (something he ought to have done) but I’ve read some strange things which outlined why it wasn’t his fault.

It will be interesting to see what else gets said while the gag has been lifted.
